Loudon Snowden Wainwright III (d. 5 Eylül 1946), Amerikalı şarkı yazarı, folk şarkıcısı, mizahçı, ve oyuncu. ABD'nin Chapel Hill, North Carolina yerinde doğmuştur. Wainwright, bir yoga öğretmeni ve Life dergisinin bir köşe yazarıdır. North Carolina'da doğdu, New York'un Westchester County ilinde büyüdü. Kız kardeşi olan Sloan Wainwright, aynı zamanda bir şarkıcıdır. St. Andrew's Okulu'ndan mezun oldu.
