William Nordhaus

William Dawbney Nordhaus (d. 31 Mayıs 1941), Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nin New Mexico eyaletinin Albuquerque şehrinde dünyaya geldi. Lisans eğitimini 1963 yılında tamamlamış ve 1967 yılında Massachusetts Teknoloji Enstitüsünde doktora derecesini almıştır. 1973 yılından itibaren Yale Üniversitesinde ekonomi alanında profesör olarak devam etmektedir.

BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Ödülü

Küresel ısınmaya karşı en verimli politikaları belirlemek için ekonomik ve çevresel verileri entegre edebilen ilk modeli geliştirip ortaya koyduğu için BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Ödülü'nü aldı.

Nobel Ekonomi Ödülü

Paul Romer ile birlikte uzun vadeli ekonomik büyüme ve bunun iklim değişikliğine etkisi üzerine yaptığı katkılardan dolayı 2018 yılı Nobel Ekonomi Ödülüne layık görüldü.
