Liberya-Türkiye ilişkileri

Liberya-Türkiye ilişkileri, Liberya ile Türkiye arasındaki dış ilişkilerdir. Türkiye'nin Gana Büyükelçisi 2013'ten beri Liberya'ya akredite edilmiştir. Brüksel'deki Liberya Büyükelçilisi ise Türkiye'ye akredite edilmiştir. 22 Haziran 2018 tarihinde Resmi Gazete'de yayınlanan karara göre Türkiye en kısa zamanda Liberya'nın başkenti Monrovia'da büyükelçilik açacaktır.

Diplomatik ilişkiler

Türkiye ve Liberya, Liberya–ABD ile Türkiye– ABD arasındaki ilişkiler nedeniyle yakın ilişkilere sahiptir . Amerikan Kolonizasyon Derneği, Liberya'yı serbest bırakılan ABD köleleri için bir ülke olarak yarattı ve bu yakın bağlantı sayesinde ABD, Liberya'yı ekonomik ve politik olarak desteklemeye devam etti. Türkiye, 200.000'den fazla Liberyalı'nın ölümüne neden olan Doe ve Taylor yönetimleri sırasında Liberya'yı desteklemeyi reddetti. Harvard Üniversitesinde öğrenim görmüş Cumhurbaşkanı Ellen Johnsob Sirleaf'ın seçilmesinden bu yana, Liberya ile Türkiye arasındaki ilişkiler önemli ölçüde gelişti.

Birinci Liberya İç Savaşı ve İkinci Liberya İç Savaşı'nın ardından Dünya Bankası, IMF ve Afrika Kalkınma Bankası konsorsiyumu ile işbirliği yapan Türkiye, Liberya'nın 3,4 milyar ABD doları tutarında dış borcunu ödemek için para topladı ve ülkenin yeniden inşaasına yardım etmek için 75 milyon ABD doları bağışladı.

Ekonomik ilişkiler

• İki ülke arasındaki ticaret hacmi 2019 yılında 191.9 milyon ABD doları olmuştur.
