Errors on gadget required a patch

Hi @Vikipolimer apologies for writing in English. We have seen a large spike in errors relating to this script which started yesterday: https://grafana.wikimedia.org/d/000000566/overview?viewPanel=16&orgId=1&from=now-7d&to=now

This was triggering many of our error alerting systems so I had to maje a fix to hopefully fix this.

Please check the above graph when making further edits and please test this script more extensibly before making future edits. Please remember that if running this script for anonymous users extra care must be taken to make sure your script works for everyone regardless of browser.
