Jenny Clack
Jennifer Alice Clack, FRS, FLS ( doğum adı Agnew ; 3 Kasım 1947 - 26 Mart 2020), İngiliz paleontolog ve evrimsel biyolog. Tetrapodların erken evrimi konusunda uzmanlaştı ve özellikle "balıktan tetrapodlara" geçişi inceledi. Erken tetrapodların ve lob yüzgeçli balıklar arasındaki akrabalarının kökeni, evrimsel gelişimi ve yayılımı üzerine çalıştı. En çok 2002'de yayınlanan ve sıradan insanları düşünerek yazdığı Gaining Ground: the Origin and Early Evolution of Tetrapods (İkinci basımı 2012) adlı kitabıyla tanınır.

Onurlar
değiştirClack, 2008 yılında ABD Ulusal Bilimler Akademisi'nden Daniel Giraud Elliot Madalyası'na layık görüldü ve bu onuru kazanan ilk kadındı.[19]
Clack, 2009 yılında Kraliyet Cemiyeti Üyesi seçildi [20] bu onuru elde eden ilk kadın omurgalı paleontoloğu oldu.[21] Ayrıca Amerikan Sanat ve Bilim Akademisi'nin Yabancı Fahri Üyesi seçildi.[22]
Clack, 15 Haziran 2013 tarihinde Chicago Üniversitesi tarafından fahri bilim doktoru (DSc) unvanına layık görüldü. Üniversite Clack'ı "araştırmaları karasal omurgalı yaşamının kökenine ilişkin anlayışı kökten değiştiren uluslararası alanda önde gelen bir paleontolog" olarak tanımladı.[23] Ayrıca 2013 yılında Glasgow Jeoloji Derneği tarafından T Neville George Madalyası ile ödüllendirildi.[24]
17 Temmuz 2014'te Leicester Üniversitesi tarafından kendisine fahri Bilim Doktoru unvanı verildi.[25] Ayrıca 2014 yılında İsveç Kraliyet Bilimler Akademisi'nin Fahri Yabancı Üyesi yapıldı.[26]
2018 yılında Paleontoloji Derneği'nin en prestijli ödülü olan Lapworth Madalyası'nı kazandı.[27]
