Jenifer Lewis
Jenifer Jeanette Lewis (d. 25 Ocak 1957[1]) Amerikalı aktris ve şarkıcı. Kariyerine Broadway müzikallerinde oynayarak başladı ve Beaches (1988) ve Sister Act (1992) filmlerinde görünmeden önce Bette Midler için yedek şarkıcı olarak çalıştı. Lewis , What Got to Do With It (1993), Poetic Justice (1993), The Preacher's Wife (1996), The Brothers (2001), The Cookout (2004), Think Like a filmlerinde oynadığı anne rolleriyle tanınır Man (2012) ve devam filmi Think Like a Man Too (2014), Baggage Claim (2013) ve The Wedding Ringer (2015) ile The Temptations mini dizisinde (1998) rol aldı.

Lewis, televizyonda 2000'den 2006'ya kadar Lifetime medikal dizisi Strong Medicine'de Lana Hawkins olarak rol aldı. Ayrıca A Different World, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ve Girlfriends sitcomlarında tekrar eden rolleri vardı. Kinloch, Missouri'de hemşire yardımcısı annesi Dorothy ve fabrika işçisi bir babanın çocuğu olarak dünyaya geldi. Lewis, yedi çocuğun en küçüğüdür. Beş yaşında kilise korosunda şarkı söyledi. Kinloch Lisesi'ne ve ardından Missouri, Webster Groves'daki Webster Üniversitesi'ndeki üniversiteye gitti. 2015 yılında Webster'dan[4] derece aldı Lewis, üniversiteden sonra New York'a taşındı.
Kişisel hayatı değiştir
Lewis, 2012'den beri Arnold Byrd ile evlidir.[5][6] Charmaine Lewis adında evlatlık bir kızı var.[7][8]
1990'da Lewis'e bipolar bozukluk teşhisi kondu.[9] Başlangıçta teşhisini utandığı için sakladı, ancak 17 yıllık terapi ve 10 yıllık ilaç tedavisinden sonra sonunda hastalığı ile barıştı. 2014 röportajında, "Aynaya bakmalısın ... ve - herhangi bir şeye gitmeden veya büyümeden önce - kendini sevdiğini söylemelisin" dedi.[10]
