At the time of its launch in 2007, LTE Advanced was not supported by any [[smartphone]], but only by a small number of [[Router (computing)|routers]]. The first capable smartphones wouldn't arrive until late 2013. While no smartphone is currently capable of 1 Gbit/s+, there are smartphones that can reach 300 Mbit/s to 500 Mbit/s under ideal conditions. Requirements are that the device must either have 3GB+ of [[Random-access memory|RAM]], a 32-bit [[Quad core]]/Octacore processor, and multiple 4G-LTE antennas or a 64-bit [[Dualcore]]/[[Quad core]] processor with 1GB+ of RAM and at least two 4G-LTE antennas.
