John Joseph Travolta, 18 Şubat 1954 yılında Englewood, New Jersey'de altı çocuklu bir ailenin en küçük çocuğu olarak dünyaya geldi. 1991 yılında Kelly Preston ile evlendi. 2 Ocak 2009 yılında Bahamalar'da en büyük oğlu Jett hayatını kaybetti.[1][2] 12 Temmuz 2020 yılında Clearwater, Florida'da eşi Kelly Preston meme kanserinden hayatını kaybetti.
