De Casibus Virorum Illustrium

De Casibus Virorum Illustrium (Türkçe: Ünlü Adamların Kaderleri Üzerine), 1355-1374 yılları arasında Giovanni Boccaccio tarafından, Floransa’nın Certaldo bölgesinde, gotik sanat akımına bağlı kalarak yazılmış dokuz ciltlik biyografik bir eserdir. Eserde, Boccaccio’nun kendi döneminde ve bölgesinde en çok bilinen dini, tarihi ve mitolojik hikâyelerden yola çıkılarak Hristiyan ve Latin tarihine etki etmiş 174 farklı kişinin (eklemelerle birlikte) biyografisi yer almaktadır. Eserin 9. cildinde Boccaccio'nun gözünden Malazgirt Savaşı, Sultan Alp Arslan ve Romen Diyojen'in arasında geçenler, İslam Peygamberi Muhammet bin Abdullah'a dair yazılar ve Fransızca nüshasında bu konulara dair minyatürler mevcuttur.
