Konur Alp is one of the first Turkish commanders to serve in the establishment of the Ottoman State. The date of birth is around the middle of the 13th century between 1240-1250. It means brunette, light chestnut in folk language.
When Osman Gazi started to fight against the Byzantines since 1300, he was with Konur Alp with his comrades like Akça Koca, Samsa Çavuş, Aykut Alp and Abdurrahman Gazi. Orhan Gazi sent Konur Alp to the capture of the region towards the Black Sea, as he took over the military administration in his father's health.
Konur Alp conquered Akyazı, Mudurnu and Melen Stream basin which was named after him. He took Aydos with Gazi Abdurrahman. He showed great heroism in the conquest of Bursa (1326) and passed away in the same year. After the death of Konur Alp, the places under his administration were combined and given to the order of Şehzade Murad.
It is not known exactly where the tomb of Konur Alp is located, but it is estimated to be on the sides of Düzce. The tomb in the tomb garden in Söğüt is the authority. The actual tomb is not in the city center in the Konuralp neighborhood of the plain.
He lives in the name of Konuralp neighborhood of Düzce. In addition, it is known that the Hendek district of Adapazarı was also called Konuralp for a while, and the entire Melen Stream valley was called Konuralp Eli (in some sources, Konrapa).
Today, the Konur Town and Konur Villages (Konur Hacıobaşı, Konur Danacıobaşı etc.) in Kırıkkale Keskin were founded by the tribes of Konuralp.
