It is organized by the local organisations of the Wikimedia Movement every year in September in forty countries, approximately.
Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey (WMTR) this year for the first time in Turkey organized the Wiki Loves Monuments competition. Anyone (photographers, amateurs, Wikimedians, non-wikimedians) on the occasion of this competition to discover again history of their region, the importance of cultural, scientific and are invited to share these images.
