2016 yılından önce, bu bakteri türünün bir Arthrobacter cinsi türü olduğu düşünülüyordu. Fakat 2016 yılında Bu bakteri türü Pseudarthrobacter cinsinin bir üyesi olarak yeniden sınıflandırılmıştır.[2]
