Jim Bridwell
Amerikalı dağcı (1944 – 2018)
Jim Bridwell (d. 29 Temmuz 1944 –ö. 16 Şubat 2018),Amerikalı dağ kaya tırmanıcısı ve yazardır. Özellikle 1965'ten bu yana Yosemite Vadisi'nde ve aktif olarak Patagonya ile Alaska'da tırmanışlar yapmıştır. Hem özgür dağ ve büyük kaya tırmanışlarındaki standartların ötesindeki hareketleriyle dikkat çekmiştir. Önde gelen spor yayınları için tırmanış hakkında sayısız yazı yazmıştır. Bridwell, Yosemite Vadisi'nde 100'den fazla tırmanış yapmış ayrıca bunun yanı sıra, 26 Mayıs 1975'te El Capitan Burnu'na John Long ve Billy Westbay ile ilk tırmanışı gerçekleştirmiştir. .[1] Yosemite Ulusal Parkı'nın Arama ve Kurtarma Ekibini (YOSAR) kurdu ve Arama Kurtarma operasyonları için ders kitabı haline gelen birçok kurtarmaya öncülük etti. Değişen tırmanma tekniklerinde lider kişi olarak bakır kafa kaskları ve kuş gagalarıda dahil olmak üzere yaygın olarak kullanılan ve kopyalanmış tırmanma dişlilerinin yenilikçisi/mucidi idi.
