Beatrice Heuser

Donata Beatrice Gisela Heuser (1961, Bangkok), Alman tarihçi ve siyaset bilimci.

1978'de mezun olduğu İstanbul'daki Alman Lisesi'nin ardından girdiği Londra Üniversitesi'nde tarih okudu. London School of Economics'te Uluslararası Tarih alanında yüksek lisans yaptı. 1988 yılında Oxford Üniversitesi'nden “The Western Powers and Yugoslavia, 1948-54” başlıklı teziyle siyaset bilimi alanında D.Phil. (doktora) unvanı aldı. Bunu Marburg Üniversitesi'nde habilitasyon takip etti.

1989'de Londra'daki "Chatham House" Enstitüsü'nde çalıştı. Bir süre NATO karargâhında çalıştı. King's College London'da önce öğretim görevlisi ardından profesör oldu. Reims, Sorbonne, Potsdam gibi üniversitelerin ardından günümüzde Reading Üniversitesi'nde görev yapmaktadır.

Heuser stratejik çalışmalarda uzmanlaşmıştır. Özellikle nükleer strateji, strateji teorisi ve stratejik kültür, transatlantik ilişkiler ile aynı zamanda Almanya, İngiltere ve Fransa'nın dış ve savunma politikaları konusunda çalışmalarda bulunmuştur.
